According to ayurveda the diet of the human being should always be simple so that it imposes no health problems. Diet is essential part of a human being to thrive in this mundane world. Ayurveda never believes in the theory that people around the globe should take the same diet. It may vary according to caste, culture and creed. Generally no exact diet is specific for a man. There are lots of factors to determine what diet an ailing human being should take. Actually ayurveda believes in the theory of Panchabhuta and confirms the fact every human being is carrying the five essential elements with him. Again there is the theory of Tridosha. When the imbalance in any of the Elements or the Dosha is caused maladies get the better of them. So according to ayurvedic theories man should take diet after his own constitutional characteristics.

Every man should take into the fact in mind that the each food must have its natural quality. Taking a particular food is never beneficial. Always a combination of different items is encouraged but one should take care of proper combination. If synergy is not maintained there is possibility of acute suffering. Now each man should be careful of the quantity he is taking as diet. Every man has his own taste and choice but according to ayurvedic theories if man should bother about his overall health he should opt for that item that best suits him. Climate of the particular area and the season must be given priority. All types of artificial flavours, chemicals and preservatives must be avoided by all means.

Now the most vital issue that creates problem among people round the globe is what type of diet should be taken-vegetable or non-vegetable? Among many sections of people there goes the myth that non-vegetable diet is ideal and must for health and vigour .In this context the prowess of the tiger and lion comes to the forefront. But recent studies worldwide have proved that vegetables are always packed with vibrant energy of Mother Nature so they are superior by all means. Researchers have proved that the non-vegan diet is packed with fat and fatty acids that lead to various cardiovascular problems. Again non-vegan diets are heavy and not easily digestible. So  constant worry with gastro intestinal problems is obvious.

Green vegetables and fruits are packed with essential anti-oxidants, Vitamins and essential nutrients that human body is in need of. The presence of fibre in the vegetables and fruits has the power to reduce the chance of coronary artery diseases, malignancies in the intestines, diabetes, obesity and constipation. So it is judicious to take the vegetable diet as per the ayurvedic concepts. The sages and ascetics of the past thrived for centuries taking only the vegetables and fruits. They never taste the flesh or blood of a dead animal. Though in Vedas there are instances of offering cows and horses in the Yagnas.Still according to ayurvedic principles it is better to opt for vegetarian diet to have perfect energy and vitality.
